All Idaho of Banks Closed The proclamation of President Roosevelt automatically closed the doors of every banking institution in Idaho. The news was received in Boise first by The Statesman about o'clock. Earlier in the day the twelfth district federal reserve bank sued an order calling holiday Monday for all members of the federal system in Idaho and other western states. The First National Bank of Idaho in Boise and the eight banks formerly with to observe the holiday, according an official were all other member banks in the state.

Twin Falls Gets New Bank May 1 TWIN FALLS (AP)β€”Fidelity National bank of Twin Falls will be opened on or about next May 1, it was announced by G. H. Shearer, president of the First National bank of Filer, who purchased the old First National bank building in Twin Falls following a hearing before District Judge Adam B. Barclay of Jerome in the district court here Saturday. Hearing was on the application of G. D. Thompson, First National bank receiver, for the court's approval of his acceptance of the Filer bank's bid of $47,000 for the building. There were no other bids. The deal is subject to confirmation by the comptroller of the currency, which is expected. The Filer bank is to become a branch of the Fidelity National bank of Twin Falls, and is to be operated by Earl S. Lahue as manager. Roy Painter, former cashier of the Cassia National bank of Burley, is to be cashier of the new Twin Falls bank.
