Fourth Avenue Bank Reopens, New Officers After being closed for six months, the Fourth Avenue State bank has reopened its doors with replaced capital and a new staff of officers. The bank was closed by the state bank superintendent Dec. 22, on account of inability to liquidate frozen assets. The bank, in its new venture, will start with a clean slate, C. G. Linnell, president, said. It will have a capital of $25,000 and a surplus of $5,000. The old capital of the bank, tied up in frozen assets, has been entirely replaced, Mr. Linnell said, and depositors of the old bank will receive 90 cents on the dollar immediately and 10 cents as soon as collection of outstanding paper is completed. New officers of the bank include: C. G. Linnell, president; W. A. Quinn, vice president; J. C. Kennedy, cashier; R. E. Carlson, assistant cashier. Directors of the bank are Billy Potts, of the Potts Motor company, 1017 Fourth avenue S.; Phillip A. Confer, 1412 Portland avenue; A. E. Essen, druggist, 1400 Fourth avenue; A Rockstad, druggist, 2001 Fourth avenue; J. E. Kennedy, cashier of the bank; D. P. Bowen, 3408 Hennepin avenue; J. C. Kennedy; W. A. Quinn, plumber, 2017 Fourth avenue S., and C. G. Linnell, president of the bank.
