MOWEAQUA LOSES TO COWDEN FIVE NAMED BANK RECEIVER. Nokomis Ray M. Cook, of Christopher, receiver of two closed banks at Mt. Olive and one at Gillespie, has been placed in charge of the Nokomis National bank, which closed Jan. 21. The receiver announces that the business of liquidating the bank's affairs will proceed, pending the outcome of attempts now being made to reorganize and reopen the bank. Nokomis Bank Receiver Awarded 3 Judgments HILLSBORO—Ray M. Cook, receiver for the Nokomis National bank, has been awarded judgments against three persons here in circuit court as follows: S. B. Brown, $889.25 for note Dec. 30, 1932; Paul B. Foster, $795.55 for note given Sept. 24, 1932; C. L. Mansfield, $608.86 for note given June 8, 1932. The three men, all of Nokomis, had defaulted on payment of the notes.

Nokomis Bank Receiver Files Two Complaints By Staff Correspondent HILLSBORO—Ray M. Cook, receiver for the Nokomis National bank, has filed two complaints for debt in circuit court. The complaints name Boyd E. Swaney and Marguerite L. Swaney of Nokomis, $1,121.90 and John C. Johnson and Mrs. Anna G. Kerr of Nokomis, $65.25.
