JUDGE COLEMAN'S COURT. Not Much Money in It for Lawyers-----------------Another Dividend Paid-Tobacco Sales, CHASE CITY, VA., November 29.-(Special.)-This week Judge Samuel F. Coleman is holding the regular fall term of the Mecklenburg Circuit Court. The docket is an unusually small one, and the lawyers say there is not much money in this court. Another dividend of 10 per cent. will be made to the creditors of the defunct Bank of Clarksville. This will make 91 per cent. so far paid to depositors. More will yet be available. This is a splendid showing, considering the expense of liquidation and litigation, and shows good management on the part of the receivers and counsel. Judge Coleman adjourned court and enjoyed Thanksgiving-Day by going deerhunting with a party of Mecklenburg hunters. LARGE SALES. The three tobacco-markets of this county, Boydton, Chase City, and Clarksville, report large sales of leaf Tecently, exceeding usual offerings, and considerable improvement in quality. This distribution of a large volume of money among the farming community makes their condition easier and more independent, The corn-corp of the county is the largest for many years, and merchants are everywhere allowing 40 cents per bushel for it in trade.
