RUN CLOSES BANK Louisiana Institution Is Insolvent Following Run Of Depositors EUNICE, La., Jan. 23.β€”The Eunice state bank closed its doors at 1:30 this afternoon following a run which started at the opening hour this morning. Scores had not succeeded in reaching the tellers window when the supply of cash was exhausted. Warren Derwick's the president, posted a notice of insolvency and advising that efforts were being made to get some other bank to tide them over. The bank is capitalized at 50,000 and deposits about $500,000. The state's bank examiner found its condition sound three weeks ago.
