BANK RUN IS ENDED. Wichita Institution Ready To Meet Obligations To Depositors. Wichita, Kansas, November 9.—The Fourth National Bank of Wichita opened its doors as usual this morning, prepared to meet obligations to skeptical depositors who feared that the run on the bank yesterday would cause the institution to close its doors. Officials of the bank declined to say how much money was on hand, but it is known that the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City pledged its "unlimited" support and that the Wichita Clearing House Association supported the bank. The run, which reached its climax yesterday afternoon, was the result of "malicious and unfounded" rumors which have circulated about Wichita for the last week, in the opinion of bank officials. Where the rumors originated bank officials could not say.
