Reed City Bank Receiver Upheld In an opinion filed Monday District Judge Fred M. Raymond held against the Michigan Surety Co., intervening defendant in the suit brought by Philip A. Holman as receiver for the First National bank of Reed City against Arthur Adamy. Plaintiff sought to recover certain securities delivered to Adamy by the bank to indemnify him against loss as surety upon a bond given by the bank to Osceola county on county funds. No liability was enforced as to Adamy and he asserted no right to retain the securities. The Michigan Surety Co. entered the case for the purpose of asserting a lien upon the securities in question by reason of an alleged relationship of cosurety with Adamy, as the opinion explained.
