Other officers elected were: Vice president, Harry E. Rice; treasurer, Daniel J. Callahan; secretary, John W. Burke; chaplain, Louis N. Provost; conductor, William S. Ellwood; trustee for three years, Harley E. O'Dell (re-elected); inside guard, Thomas E. Barrett; outside guard, A. McDonald; examining physicians, Dr. H. R. Ryan and Dr. Hugh Hanrahan. Lunch was served immediately after the business meeting under the direction of Chef James Quinn. President Seward reported a considerable gain in membership during the past year as well as a big improvement in the financial condition of the local order, as compared with a year ago. The aerie now has a membership of 525. Arrangements are being made by the Eagles for the initiation of a Mother's Day class of candidates at the next meeting. The Eagles were responsible for the founding of Mother's Day. It was voted to enter a float in the YD parade here in June and a committee was appointed to make arrangements. Y., National bank, filed suit in County court yesterday against the James Covino estate of Granville to recover $1100 on a note. DR. O. F. CLOUGH HEADS DISTRICT SCHOOLBOARD. IRA, May 8.โ€”Dr. O. F. Clough was elected president of the schoolboards of the Rutland southwest district at the recent annual meeting. Other officers are vice president, M. C. J. Wilbur and secretary, Mrs. L. G. Blakely. There were 20 persons present at the session.
