Ickesburg Bank Is Taken Over by State The State Banking Department today has the affairs of the Ickesburg State Bank, Ickesburg, Perry County. The resources of the bank were $162,000: deposits, $108,370: capital, $25,000; surplus, $5000, and undivided profits, $4600. Dr. W. Shelley is president. Grace Gray, cashier, is Republican candidate for county treasurer. HIKERS BLAME HOOVER man and woman, passed through this city together recently. On man's back was sign: "Don't offer ride. deserve it. voted for Hoover.'

Bank Loans Will Permit Payment of Depositors Depositors of two more of the closed banks this territory are assured of getting another payment on their accounts in the near future, for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation in Washington has just approved loans on colInteral to the Trust Company, this city. and the Ickesburg State Bank, in Perry County. Notice of the approved loans has been received here by George R. Bailey. chairman of the Deposit Liquidation Committee for this district, which passed first on the loan applications made by the bank receiver deputies. The amount of the loans and the percentage to be distributed positors will not be until the banks' collateral is checked against the loan Depositors of the Ickesburg bank already have 90 per cent. of their accounts, and the Commercial depositors, 15 per cent.
