"I am sticking to you, dear boy," Mrs. Campbell said, reaching through the bar and patting his shaking hand. "It will come out all right. We will get you out of this. Don't worry." Today police will make their final attempt to connect Campbell with the murder of Mrs. Margaret Brown, who was slain more than a year ago under circumstances similar to those surrounding the death of Mrs. Mowry. Thomas Gellas, manager of the Eureka Hotel at Newark, N. J., will seek to identify Campbell as the "Dr. Ross" who checked out of the hotel the afternoon Miss Brown was killed. Gellas says he notes a resemblance between pictures of Campbell and "Dr. Ross." Campbell's letter files revealed that he carried on a heavy correspondence with matrimonial agencies and "lonely hearts" columns of newspapers. Name Bank Receiver. ADENA, O., April 15.β€”The comptroller of currency today appointed E. Trimble Smith, of Washington, receiver for the Peoples National Bank of Adena which closed Saturday following a run.

ADENA, O., July 27.β€”The Chamber of Commerce is backing a new bank for this Eastern Ohio mining center to replace the Peoples National, which closed April 12, due to slow collections and a run. The new bank, which will have $25,000 capital and $12,500 surplus, is designed to provide the town and nearby mining camps with banking service. Prize for Hope Chest. At a bridge party in La Plate, Mo., the other day a mother announced she would put the prize she had won in her son's hope chest.
