BANK SLEUTH TO RECEIVE ORDERS ON PROBES HERE Attorney General Calls W. J. Barnett to Washington to Discuss Procedure W. J. Barnett, expert bank accountant of the department of justice, has been summoned to Washington for a conference with the attorney general on the Oklahoma national bank situation. Barnett left here today saying that he expected to return in time to place a number of bank cases before the federal grand jury convening October 2. Barnett said the conference is the result of the large number of national bank investigations going on in Oklahoma at the present time, and that the conference would decide just what cases would be placed before the grand jury. Backs Up Lee He reiterated a statement made yesterday by Frank Lee, United States district attorney, that every case of the failure of a national bank was being thoroughly investigated, and that in every case where it was found the banking laws had been violated vigorous prosecutions would be made. Barnett has been engaged in an investigation of the activities of the defunct First National bank of Hugo and the First National bank of Soper.
