NATIONAL BANK DOORS ARE CLOSED IN DAWSON DAWSON, Ga., Nov. 7.β€”(AP)β€”The Dawson City National Bank, Dawson's only national banking institution, formed several months ago by a merger of the Dawson National Bank and the City National Bank, closed its doors Monday morning. The following notice appeared on the door of the bank: "This 7th day of November, 1932. Resolution. On account of a run on this bank and its inability to withstand same, it is hereby ordered that it be closed for the protection of all its depositors and that its affairs be placed in the hands of the comptroller of the currency." The following notice also appeared on the door: "By resolution of the board of directors the affairs of this bank are placed in the hands of the comptroller of the currency. Reed Dolan, National Bank Examiner." The resolution was signed by B. C. Perry, G. D. Dozier, H. A. Petty, E. W. Hollingsworth, J. E. Brim, R. D. Smith and O. F. Oxford.
