GAFFNEY BANK CLOSES DOORS Gaffney, April 13,-The Cherokee Savings bank of Gaffney failed to open its doors for business this morning and the following notice was given: Bank is closed temporarily by order of the board of directors. The state bank examiner has been notified of this action and has been requested to take charge of the affairs of the bank.' The Chevokee Savings bank was organized here in 1911 with capital stock of $50,000. LIABILITY ORDER BEFORE WAS NAMED RECEIVER. Had Been Active in Religious and Educational Affairs in His Home Community. Thompson Clary, 78, prominent farmer the Fairview community, died about Sunday morning at his home route after being declining health for about years. He had critically for several before his death.
