WIRE NEWS INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. July 13.The Playtime Equipment Company, of Huntington, was incorporated here yesterday for $100,000 by Emmett J. Richard J., and Parnell McGreezy. LOGANSPORT, Ind. July 13.-The five local soft drink parlors here, suspected of purveying something more potent than soda water, were placed under padlock orders today by Judge Slick of South Bend.- Wesley Morgan; 63, formerly of this city, was killed yesterday when he fell from a hay wag and fractured his neck, near Seward, Ill., according to advices here. FORT WAYNE, July 13.-The Harlan State Bank yesterday was appoined receiver for the Grabill State Bank which closed its doors several days ago. Frozen assets were blamed for the bank's suspension. HARTFORD CITY, Ind., July 13.Edward Lippet, Montpelier mill worker, whose body was found along the railroad tracks, died a suicide from drinking carbolic acid, Coroner James U. Dodds held in his verdict returned today. Despondency over ill health was the motive for Lippet's act. BENTON, III., July 13.-The first panel of a jury to try Charlie Birger, Art Newman and Ray "Izzy" Hyland for the murder of Mayor Joe Adams of West City was selected and sworn in here yesterday afternoon. The four men were chosen after a venire of fifey miners and farmers was whittled down by conscientious objections to the death penalty. SHELBYVILLE, Ind. July 13.Undaunted by lowering clouds, Shelbyville Merchants closed up their shops at noon today and almost the whole town went on a pienic. It was held at Porter's Park, 15 miles southwest of here and was the Annual Merchant's Outing. More than 1,500 persons attended. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 13.The Pople's Mill and Lumber Company of East Chicago was incorporated here today for $60,000. Incorporators were: John Bochanowaki, Joseph E. Wlekinski, Stanley W. Wlekinski, Josepeh Kinel and A. H. Sambar, all of East Chicago, and Jacob Hilson of Hammond and AIbert Scholz of Whiting. SOUTH BEND, Ind., July, 13.-One man killed and four others persons were injured when their automobile turned over twelve miles west of here. Joseph Reich, 58, Brooklyn, N. Y. was killed. The injured were Mrs. Esteher Reich, 30, Detroit, Michigan; Miss Sadie Reich, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Hester Reich, 30, Brooklyn and Moe Reich, 21, Brooklyn. All of the injured are expected to recover. VALPARAISO, Ind., July 12.William Foster, 28, drank a half glass of carbolic acid in a suicide attempt here. His condition this morning was critical. Domestic trouble was believed have prompted Foster's act. His wife had sued him for a divorce. Charles Clark was burned by the acid when he tried to snatch the poison glass from Foster's lips. WILKES-BARRE, Pa., July fast Jersey Central freight train, west bound from New York, was derailed near West White Haven, 30 miles from here, yesterday, three cars being damaged, but all of the crew escaping unhurt. One car caught fire and was badly damaged, reports hehe said. The train crew was made up of Mauch Chunk men.
