Solon Newspaper Sold To Griebel Special to The Gazette. SOLONβ€”M. R. Griebel Wednesday took possession of the Solon Economist, weekly newspaper, from the receivership of the Ulch Brothers State bank. Approval of the transfer was made this week in district court at Iowa City by Judge Harold D. Evans. Application for sale of the paper was made last week by the receiver of the bank. Griebel formerly owned the Lone Tree Reporter. C. H. Scott, who has been editing the paper recently for the bank receiver, has gone to Hampton.
