State Banking Commissioner Marvin has closed the Citizens Bank at Stamping Ground, Scott county. There is an alleged shortage of about $6,000. In a run on the bank Saturday depositors drew approximately $10,000. The bank is capitalized at $30,000. The Banking Commissioner said probably it would not again open its doors and its affairs would be liquidated.

BANK TO PAY 75 CENTS Additional Dividend Announced From Stamping Ground FRANKFORT, Ky., April 27.—Citizens Bank of Stamping Ground, which was closed July 5, 1924 by the state banking commission will pay an additional 50 per cent dividend to depositors as soon as the checks can be made out according to a report made today by Charles E. Marvin, commissioner, by John C. Nichols, special deputy commissioner in charge of the liquidation of the bank. The additional dividend will bring the total distribution to stockholders up to $75 per cent. Nicholas, who is winding up the affairs of the bank is cashier of the Farmers Bank and Trust company of Georgetown.
