Suspension of the Banks-Correspondence. NASHVILLE, Nov. 26, 1860. To the Presidents of the Bank of Tennessee, Planter's and Union Banks: GENTLEMEN:-Herewith please find a letter addressed to W. A. QUARLES, Esq., Supervisor of Banks, signed by a number of merchants and citizens, together with his answer to the same. This correspondence in reference to a suspension of specie payment by your respective Banks will speak for itself.
