Lockport.-Carrying out the arrangements of the associations of the Bank of Lockport, Bank of Thibodaux, Bank of Lafourche, Bank of Houma, the Raceland Banking Association, the People's Bank and Trust Company, the Bank of Lockport is paying off the depositors of the Merchants and Planters' Bank in liquidation. As anticipated, there was no run on the bank, and the best of feeling exists towards the late Merchants and Planters' Bank.
