Acting on the findings of the department of trade and commerce Judge Blackledge has disallowed some of the claims filed against the closed bank. These claimants have been notified and will present their case in district court, before the judge, May 22. After the state department has received these answers, the receiver of the local bank will be given an opportunity to answer, date for that hearing having been set for June 12. Affairs of the local bank are being handled by A. M. Strunk, who is also assistant receiver of the failed banks at Orleans and Ragan. Mr. Strunk makes his home in Holdrege but divides his time between the towns where he is handling banks. The department is getting ready to sell the remaining assets of the bank at Ragan, according to Strunk, and will wind up its liquidation of that bank in the near future.
