Through a loan made by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, depositors of the failed bank of Dorchester have received their 50 percent cash dividend. These people are the first to benefit from government bank aid. However, the state banking department is negotiating with the RFC for similar loans for other state banks in receivership. Under the government's corn loan program approximately 25 million farmers will receive 20 million dollars of federal money on an estimated 43 million bushels of corn. The total amount may be raised to 25 million dollars with an additional month for sealing warehouses and obtaining loans.
