RECESS DISTRICT COURT CLAY CENTER, May 7β€”The May equity term of district court, which has been in session here since Monday, with Judge James presiding, recessed Thursday afternoon until Monday, when a number of important cases will be taken up. In the foreclosure action of Clarence G. Bliss, receiver of the Bank of Commerce of Ong, vs. Arthur S. Oakley, which was a hearing on objections to confirmation of sale and taken under advisement by Judge James on Monday, objections to confirmation were overruled and sale confirmed and deed ordered, to which the defendants excepted and supersedens bond was fixed at $1,000. In the foreclosure case of the Bankers Life Insurance Company of Nebraska vs. Edward B. Fayle, the appointment of a receiver was sought by the Bankers Life Insurance Company and they were joined in their request by Edward B. Fayle, the owner of the property involved. Resistance was made by the receiver of the Bank of Commerce of Ong by his attorney, J. E. Ray, of Hastings. The court granted the appointment of the receiver, and appointed E. W. Clack of Edgar as receiver, with his bond fixed at $1,500 and the bond of the appellant fixed at $1,500. On application of the receiver of the Clay Center State Bank, the receiver was granted authority to sell the remaining assets of the bank.
