Court House Happenings Banker Putnam of Naper was a court house visitor Wednesday. V. F. Jedlicka, H. M. Hermann and John Hajek of Lynch were visitors at the county capitol Tuesday. Three probate cases came up in county court this week. They were the estates of B. L. Chambers, Eliza A. Clark and Carl Schumann. Edgar R. Johnson, receiver of the Gross State Bank, has begun suit against E. S. and Eva Pruden on a mortgage covering lots 13 to 22 in block 55, Gross. The Live Stock National Bank of Sioux City has begun suit in the district court against Frank Dahlenburg et al, to foreclose a mortgage given on Block 58, in the village of Gross. Transportation of intoxicating liquor was the charge filed against Charles F. Pratt and Lee Hellenbolt of Fairfax, Monday morning. The men were caught in Butte with liquor in their possession. Foreclosure proceedings against Bedrich Holec have been begun by Edgar R. Johnson, receiver of the Gross State Bank. The land involved in the suit is the northeast quarter of section 30, 35, 10. County Treasurer Tomek has received the money due the county from the American Exchange Bank at Bristow. This is money which was due the county when the bank suspended business some time ago. A marriage license was issued last Thursday, July 26th, to Paul Henry Reel of Gross and Miss Nellie Ruby Cooper of Lynch. After issuing the license, Judge Ford performed the ceremony which made them man and wife. Diplomas: 5 Leonard Honke, Genevieve Weber; 79 Charlie Vlcan. Spelling Certificates: 5 Mary Arends, Marie Goedde, Florence Koenig, Martha Tiefenthaler, Pauline Reiser, Johanna Warnke, Susanna Warnke, Viola Detterman. Seals: Pauline Reiser. Home Credit Certificates: 62 Hildor Rondberg.

Farmer Says State Officers to Blame for Loss of Money Lincoln, Sept. 17.-Lars Peterson Saunders county farmer, is in supreme court seeking to secure an on the state guaranty fund for $10,000. the he holds in the defunct American Ex change bank of Bristow, Boyd county Peterson says that he would taken the money out before the bank went broke not been the state him not to do so would spell calamity for the bank. The receiver is fighting the claim Peterson made an original deposit of for $10,000. but bank got him to buy mortgage on South Later he this was a fourth stead of second as represent ed. and he made the bank officers trade back. The says that this made loan the certificate of deposit may issued money its equivalent put into the bank. and that fourth mortgage was not an equivalent of $10,000.
