One of the closings, that Tamora where the Farmers' Exchange bank was taken over by Examiner Fred Babka, was the first in Seward county, it was reported. depositors' meeting has been arranged and Commissioner Woods meet with delegation Tuesday. The bank had deposits of approximately $80,000. The other closed institution is the Farmers' State bank of Chapman in Merrick county, which was taken over by Examiner Y. Castle. Deposits 1927 amounted to nearly $350,000. With the possibility that this bank will not be reorganized. Commissioner Woods announced that receiver would be appointed.
