W. Dimery, candidate for state senator, returned Sunday from an extensive tour of the district in the interest of his campaign.
N. Dunlap, a prominent attorney of Fremont, was a business visitor in the city the latter part of last week.
Attorney Hugh H. Voyle of Norfolk was a visitor in Sidney Friday while attending to legal affairs.
Bishop George A. Beecher of Hastings visited in Sidney a short time Saturday while enroute to Alliance to attend the ordination of a new rector at that place.
Mrs. E. B. Young and son, Earl, returned Friday from Denver, where they had spent several days on a combined business and pleasure trip.
Mr. and Mrs. John Ahlm and daughter, Dorothy, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Evans on Sunday.
C. J. Jorgenson left Sunday for Lincoln and Omaha on a business trip. He expects to return Wednesday.
Stanley Berry and Bud Logan, employees of the Piggly Wiggly store, spent Sunday at Scottsbluff visiting friends.
Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Foster and daughter, Mable, and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Wait spent Sunday at Big Springs with the formers' daughter, Mrs. Sam McClung, and husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner reported a most enjoyable Sunday which they devoted to fishing in the vicinity of Greenwood ranch. Mr. Gardner made the limit catch of trout in four hours' time.
County Judge M. O. Bates of Dawson county, candidate for district judge, was a visitor in Sidney Saturday in the interest of his campaign.
Mrs. D. A. Pratt is recuperating from a tonsilectomy which she underwent Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Rudd, Mrs. Ed Stearnitz and daughter, Norma Jean, and Mrs. Arthur Williams spent Sunday as guests at the home of Mrs. Mary Davison in the west Sidney district.
C. D. Kepler of Laramie is visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Kepler. He expects to go to California in a short time.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Limbeck and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krumm and daughter, Juanita, were dinner guests at the Edward Limbeck home Saturday Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Kratz returned Monday from Bloomfield, where they had been for a week with the former's parents, both of whom are ill. J. P. Kratz, who also had been there for several days, returned Monday night.
John McCleneghan, acting county judge, performed wedding ceremonies Thursday afternoon for the following couples: Harry Thomas Bond and Rachel Bonnie Bond, both of Wallace; Henry S. Hearne of Muskogee, Okla., and Annie Mildred Rossi of Santa Monica, Calif.
Everett C. Draper and Edith Mary Robertson, both of Wauneta, were married Sunday afternoon by Rev. G. P. Kratz.
Judge J. L. Tewell left Sunday for Lexington to preside over a two weeks' session of court.
Ray Shipman has taken a position as salesman with the Brown Central store.
Miss Eva Davis, who is attending school at Chadron, was a week end visitor at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Davis. She returned to Chadron Sunday afternoon.
C. B. Toof left Sunday for Denver after business interests. He was accompanied by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Struckman, and their son, Ervin, who will make their future home here.
Among the Sidney boys who tried their luck at fishing Sunday were Ed and Ray Breternitz, Earl Haworth, Ordie Weston and Ben Regan.
Rev. F. Charling Mills left for Gothenburg yesterday to attend a district conference of Methodist churches which will be in session three days.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Prigeon and the latter's sister, Wilma Reeves of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Rae L. Jones motored to Denver Sunday on a pleasure trip, returning home the same night.
Mr. and Mrs. William Raper of Torrington, Wyo., visited here Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Daniel.
Miss Mildred Drach, teacher in Fort Collins schools, is spending her spring vacation of a week here as a guest of her sister, Mrs. D. L. Abbott, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Lockwood and children spent Sunday in Ovid visiting at the home of Mrs. Lockwood's parents.
Walter and Bill Aebig of Chappell visited here Sunday with their brother, Jack Aebig, and wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jacobson of Chappell were guests Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Aebig.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Van Aelstyn and family were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kurz.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dawson of Scottsbluff spent Sunday here visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. G. S. Robinson, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Sullivan and Mrs. Frank Rauner returned last evening from Denver, where they had been since Friday.
Harry Wingerson, an employe at the Commercial barber shop, returned Friday from a two weeks vacation which he spent in Idaho with friends.
George L. Gerlach, assistant receiver of the Liberty State bank, left Sunday for Lincoln to attend a meeting of state bank receivers. He will return Thursday.
Mrs. Charles Richards and daughter, Patty Lou, are visiting relatives at Fort Collins.
C. A. Bradley, prominent insurance representative of Sidney, spent Sunday at Sterling as the guest of friends.
Miss Elizabeth Engstrom of the north Potter district was a guest of Miss Anna Olson over the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. John Brown and children, prominent farmers in the Broadway district, were shopping in Sidney Saturday.
Theodore Grieb of Chappell was among the out of town visitors in Sidney Saturday, and while here purchased a used car through the M. W. Osborn Motor company.
Among the shoppers in town Saturday afternoon from the west Dalton district were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Weed, Elsie Winkleman, Ella and Jessie Eckert and Mrs. Harold Stoll.
Mrs. P. P. Cheff went to Omaha a week ago to visit her children.
Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Hallett of Potter were Sidney visitors Saturday.
