Finds Honey in Tree. Plattsmouth.—Activities of bees in the large cottonwood tree on the farm of George Vogel near here, led to the discovery of a large cavity which contains honey enough to fill three barrels, Mr. Vogel said. With the aid of neighbors he chopped a hole in the cottonwood and found the cavity filled with honey. Gage County Wheat Moving. Beatrice.—Considerable corn and wheat is being thrown on the market in Gage county, one elevator man at Rockford, east of here, reporting that 1,500 bushels were sold at his plant. A number of other elevators in the county report a good movement of grain. Waterloo Bank Reorganized Waterloo.—The defunct bank of this place has been reorganized. It will have a capital stock of $15,000. Four per cent has already been paid into the state guarantee fund. The reorganized bank will be known as the State Bank of Waterloo. Franchise Valued at $200,000 Lincoln.—Following a hearing held before the state board of equalization, the board has fixed the valuation of the Western Union Telegraph company franchise in Nebraska at $200,000. The valuation on the previous year was $368,000 which the company is resisting in court. Postal Receipts Greater M'Cook.—The growth of McCook is reflected in the total postal receipts for the past year. In 1923 in round numbers the total receipts were $28,000.00. The figures for 1924 were
