Boswell Bank Dividend Will Be Paid
A 20 per cent dividend is be paid on assets of the defunct First National bank of Boswell, according to official notification to Roy A. Cooper, receiver, from the office of the comptroller of the currency at Washington. More than $30,000 will be available through the dividend, it was stated. When the bank suspended operations October 1926, and Cooper was placed in charge of its affairs, liabilities of the institution were $285,974.09. When the last quarterly report was made on June 30 last, the total liabilities had been reduced to Cash on hand at date of closing was $1,524.39 and when the June report was made the receiver had $26,529.36 on deposit with the comptroller.
