THE CASE OF THE BANK OF VIRGINIA RECEIVERS.-On Saturday the attention of the United States Circuit Court was occupied by the argument on the motion for the removal of Messrs. S. C. Tardy and D. J. Saunders, receivers of the Bank of Virginia. Messrs. Quarrier, Fitzhugh, and Miller, of West Virginia, and Robert W. Hughes, are counsel for the petitioners and Messrs. James Alfred Jones, Bradley T. Johnson, L. R. Page, William T. Joynes, L. II. Chandler, and B. H. Nash, for the receivers. The case was adjourned until to-day.

In the U. S. District Court in Richmond, the important case of the Bank of Virginia still occupies attention. Yesterday the session of six hours was occupied by the continuation of the argument of the motion of the petitioners from Kanawha county, West Virginia, for a re-opening of the accounts of the trustees and their removal from the receivership.

ALE OF THE EFFECTS OF THE BANK OF VIRGINIA. S In obedience to a decree of the Circiut Court of the United States for the District of Virginia, the undersigned will, on the 29TH DAY OF JUNE NEXT, beginning at 10 o'clock A. M., at the Court-House door of said Court, in the Custom-House building, in the city of Richmond, make sale, for cash, of all the EFFECTS of the BANK OF VIRGINIA, consisting of BONDS, BILLS, NOTES, JUDGMENTS, DECREES, and whatsoever else there be. Creditors of the Bank, whose claims have been allowed, are, under said decree, entitled to set off at par their claims against any purchases of said effects they may make. A descriptive list of said effects may be seen at the counting-house of 8. Tardy, one of the undersigned, on Seventeenth and Dock streets, or at the office of D. J. Saunders, on Eleventh street, between Main and Bank, in Richmond, which the public are invited to call and examine This list will be printed for circulation, and it will be advertised when ready. Sale of Bank Effects.-David J. Saunders and S. C. Tardy, receivers, will sell to-morrow, sale to commence at 10 o'clock A. M., in front of the custom-house, all the effects of the Bank of Virginia. From the number attending the sale of the effects of the Farmers' Bank, which took place several days ago, we presume quite a crowd will attend this sale. Creditors of the bank, whose claims have been allowed, are under said decree, entitled to set off at par their claims against any purchases of said effects they may make, but this does not include those holding notes, which will be reduced only at their value, or in p:0 ortion to the amount realized by the sale of the effects.

Sale of the Effects of the Bank of Virginia.-Yesterday, - the receivers, Messrs. D. J. Saunders and S. C. Tardy, sold the effects of the Bank of Virginia, at public auction, at the United States court-house. The sale was well attended and the bidding spirited. The gross receipts amount to about seventy-five or eighty thousand dollars.

10 In the U. S. Circuit Court, in session Richmond, on Friday, in the case of Payne VS. Farmers' Bank of Virginia, John S. Morson was, by the judge, appointed receiver in place of D. J. Saunders, deceased, and in the case of Mellwaine VS. Bank of Virginia, John E. Taylor was appointed receiver in place of Mr. Saunders. The U. S. District Court, which has been is session in Richmond, has adjourned till November 11th.
