State Bank at Loyal To Reopen Its Doors Madisonβ€”Closed for less than a month, the Loyal State bank at Loyal, Wis., was given a certificate by W. H. Richards, deputy commissioner of banking, to reopen its doors, effective December 18, 1923. The bank was placed in the hands of the board of directors in November 12, 1923. Thomas Herreid, chief bank examiner, and Omer Houko, assistant, took complete charge and have succeeded in "adjusting all difficulties" so that the institution can resume business, Richards announced. Evansville (Ind.) bricklayer caught stealing chickens, perhaps intending teaching them to lay bricks.
