Dade County Bank Fails Greenfield, Mo., February 5.βThe Dade County Bank, the oldest financial institution in this city, failed to open its doors, Friday morning. The failure to open followed a meeting of the directors Thursday night. It is declared there had been a slow run on the bank, for the past month, and the reserves, being pulled down, well below the legal limit, the directors voted to close the bank, and reorganize. The bank was caught, for about four thousand dollars, through a number of drafts, when the big Holland Bank closed its doors, last month.
