SANDY HOOK BANK CLOSES Suspension Ordered for Investigation of Supposed Shortage. By The Associated Press. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Jan. 2.β€”The bank of Sandy Hook, at Sandy Hook, Moniteau county, with approximately $50,000 total resources, was closed today by its board of directors for investigation of a supposed shortage, it was announced at the state finance department. It was the first bank closing of 1929. Roy D. Miller, a state bank examiner, has been sent to Sandy Hook to take charge of the institution. No details were received and Finance Commissioner S. L. Cantley, was awaiting preliminary investigation by the examiner. Fred Heysel was president, C. A. Ladman, cashier, and Carl Jungmeyer, assistant-cashier. The bank had $10,000 capital and $1,700 surplus.
