CAMERON SELECTED AS BANK RECEIVER
South Pittsburg Man Chosen to Liquidate Citizens' National at Dickson.

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn., Dec. 17.βWalter M. Cameron, who for the past several years has been cashier of the South Pittsburg Savings bank, received notice last night from J. F. T. O'Connor, comptroller of the currency, of his appointment as receiver of the Citizens National bank, of Dickson, Tenn.
Mr. Cameron will leave here tomorrow morning for Dickson to take over his new duties. His appointment received the indorsement of United States Senators Nathan L. Bachman and Kenneth D. McKellar and was not solicited by the Marion county democratic leader.
Saturday Mr. Cameron will meet the stockholders of the South Pittsburg Savings bank and offer his resignation as cashier. No successor to him has been agreed upon yet.
Cameron has had wide experience in the field of business and banking. The bank he will take over and liquidate has assets valued at approximately $750,000. For the past twenty-six years Cameron has been the municipal judge of South Pittsburg, his tenure of office being without interruption. He does not plan to resign this office. Its affairs are to be managed by a competent clerical staff, Cameron announced today.
Last year Mr. Cameron sought the democratic nomination for congress in the Third congressional district. He was defeated by the incumbent, Congressman Sam D. McReynolds, of Chattanooga.
