WHITEHALL BANK RECEIVER NAMED (Special to The Herald.) WHITEHALL, N. Y., Jan. 28.β€”The appointment of A. L. Sitterly of Glens Falls as receiver for the National bank of Whitehall, closed several weeks ago by order of the board of directors, was announced yesterday by F. G. Awalt, acting comptroller of the currency at Washington, D. C. Sitterly has returned from Washington, where he conferred with J. E. Fouts, supervisor receiver of the department, and has assumed management of the bank's affairs here. NORTH DAKOTA G. O. P. BACKS HOOVER FOR RE-ELECTION. MINOT, N. D., Jan. 28 (AP).β€”Republicans of North Dakota unanimously indorsed President Hoover for re-election at their state convention today.
