STURGIS BANK CLOSES. Board of Directors Order Investigation of Condition of the Institution. JACKSON, Miss., Jan. 16.—The Bank of Sturgis at Sturgis, Miss., closed its doors today, according to announcement here by J. S. Love, chairman of the board of state bank examiners. The board of directors of the bank ordered the institution closed until an investigation could be made of its condition by a member of the state board, Mr. Love said. "The last investigation of the bank was very satisfactory, and the trouble probably is some local condition which can be rectified," the chairman added.
