STATE COMMISSION TAKES OVER BANK The Cassville Bank, established for more than a third of a century, was in the hands of the state banking commission last Friday. Frozen assets and unliquidatable papers caused the difficulties of the bank, which has been operating on a 15 per cent basis since the banking holiday of 1933. Capitol and surplus is listed at $40,000.00 while the deposits approximate $130,000.00. The closing of the bank created no panic among the depositors, and while a bank closing oftentimes causes a run on another bank in the community, the Badger State bank reports increased deposits, rather than withdrawals. β€”A baby daughter, Joan Mae, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Scott of North Andover, Saturday, June 1, Dr. F.
