MORRIS BANK CLOSES FOR THE SECOND TIME Steady Run of Several Weeks Blanked, Another Attempt Reorganize Will Be Made OKMULGEE. Feb. Peo. ple's state bank at Morris, seven miles east of here, failed to open its doors this morning. J. D. Lucas, deputy state bank ex. aminer, said there had been "slow run" on the bank's cash for several weeks. Business men of Morris said they would make an attempt to reorganize the institution. The same bank closed its doors about two years ago but reorganized shortly afterwards. The bank was capitalized at $25, 000 and had deposits of more than $100,000.

BANK AT MORRIS FAILS AFTER SIX WEEKS RUN Okmulgee,-The Peoples State bank at Morris, seven miles east of here, failed to open its doors Monday morning, according to J. D. Lucas, deputy state banking examiner. Lucas said that there had been a "slow run" on the bank's cash extending over several weeks and the cash fund was almost depleted. A negro who had unwisely assimilated some alien chickens heard the sheriff was on their trail. Hastily he sought the agent of the railroad, asking for a ticket to the end of the line. The passenger train left a few min utes ago, replied the agent. "Well," gasped the hard-breathing tourist, "jes' gimme de ticket and p'int out de track.
