Officers Close Doors Of Bank at Ashland; Investigation Ordered (By United Press) Ashland, Okla., Jan. 25.—Officers of the First State bank of Pittsburg county closed the doors of that institution today and refused to make any comment as to their reason for closing. "Wait for the announcement of the state bank examiners," S. W. Chilbott, vice-president, declared. S. L. Samuels, president, remained silent regarding the financial status of the bank. Examiners from the office of the state banking commissioner are on their way here to conduct an examination.
