The action was brought in Uncle Sam's Court because the law provides that where a foreign subject is injured in the employ of a corporation of Pennsylvania, the injured one may have his choice of seeking redress in the Federal or county courts. The trial will likely be listed for May term. The damage claim is based upon the alleged negligence of the company in ordering Joseph, through one of the shifting foremen, to unlock a gondola car about June 16, 1913. The door refused to budge and Joseph and a company were beneath, prying at the reluctant bolt, when another draught bumped into the car. Vrcek's left hand was so badly crushed as to make it useless.
