"FIGHTING PANHANDLER" GIVEN THIRTY DAYS M. A. Roudebush, Kearney, Neb., the alleged "fighting panhandler" was sentenced to thirty days in jail yesterday by Police Judge Baldwin. Roudebush was arrested Tuesday at Fifteenth and Farnam, where he attempted to fight with men and members of the Elks band when they refused to give him alms. For the second time within a little more than one year, the First State bank of this city closed its doors Tuesday morning. The closing of the bank came as the result of a report, made several days before, to State Bank Examiner L. Q. Skelton of Helena. The order closing the bank which was posted in the window of the front door, bore the date of May 22, and the signature of George K. Dick, deputy superintendent of banks of Montana. According to Alban Bodine, an official of the bank, a receiver for the institution will be asked for in the hope that an early and satisfactory settlement or adjustment between the bank and its depositors and stockholders can be effected.

Former Officer Gets Bank Receiver Post Livingston, May 31.—Alban Bodine, who has been president of the First State bank of Livingston since its reorganization, a year ago, and which closed its doors a few days ago for the second time, was appointed receiver of the bank in district court Tuesday. Mr. Bodine came here from California about three years ago and was connected with the Hill cattle interests up to the time he became president of the State bank, after its reorganization.
