CAT CAME BACK. Couldn't Stay Away Any Longer, and Will Remain Here for Some Time. Bert Belisle, who was arrested in this city by Chief McGillis some weeks ago, and sent to Jamestown, where he was wanted by the authorities, came back from that place Wednesday in charge of Sheriff Eddy, and was turned over to the penitentiary authorities for a term of two years. Belisle was convicted of robbing the store of L. H. Weil of Jamestown, aud when he was arrested here a part of the stolen articles was jound on him, and more was found in the possession of another person, to whom he had given it. Belisle is a pretty tough customer, and was securely ironed when brought in this morning. Postmaster Tucker, of Dunseith, has been found guilty of embezzlement in United States court. The postoffice inspector checked the office up and found a shortage of $365 belonging to the money order fund. Mr. Tucker was cashier of the Turtle Mountain bank, and sent a draft to the Flour City National bank at Minneapolis, for $365. The Turtle Mountain bank went into the hands of a receiver about this time, and the draft was not honored. The defendant claims that that is the reason of any shortage occuring.
