TRUSTEES HANDLE OLD BANK ASSETS Reopening of Coolidge & McClaine Bank Quickens Business in Silverton SILVERTON, July 10.β€”Officials of the Coolidge and McClaine bank at Silverton said Tuesday that the assets not set over to the re-organized Coolidge and McClaine bank, have been transferred to the care of three trustees, Otto A. Legard, G. D. Bowen and E. L. Starr. It was provided in the waiver deposit agreement, signed by depositors of the old bank, that the trustees be allowed seven years in which to finish their work. It was indicated here today that within the next few days an office will likely be opened elsewhere at Silverton where business with the old organization will be cared for. The office it was said, would not be in the hands of a bank receiver. Just who will be in charge of this office was not made known here today. With the opening of the Coolidge & McClaine bank as reorganized business life has quickened considerable at Silverton during the first two days of the business week, it was said here today. Business men and friends flocked in to open accounts with the new organization and to E. S. Porter, a member of the board of directors, fell the honor of opening the first account. The lobby of the bank was gay on Monday and Tuesday with baskets of flowers and friends bringing "good luck" and "congratulations" to the committee which was largely responsible for the reorganization. George Hubbs, as chairman of this committee, was official host. Among the floral greetings were those from the Bank of California, United States National bank of Portland, Legard and Adams, E. R. Adams, E. C. Apperson and L. H. Briedwell of McMinnville and Roy Morley.
