NEWS AND PERSONALS Miss Naomi Kirkpatrick will spend several weeks at San Francisco. Mrs. B. L. McCue and Mrs. William Ash were in Marysville yesterday for the high school Parent-Teacher association. Mrs. Ann Baker and Mrs. Mary Baker of Grimes were Colusa visitors today. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Dawson of Princeton were here today. A. E. Sheets, assistant district attorney, went to Stockton today. Miss Nellie Cockerill spent Sunday with her parents at Princeton. Fred Caudle of the federal reserve bank is spending the week-end at Oakland. C. A. LaBree, assistant receiver of the First National Bank, today went to Modesto. John Ryan and John Ryan, Jr., were in town today from Willows. J. V. Kyle, manager of the local office of the P. G. & E., Fred Roche, Geo. Messick and Geo. Kirkpatrick attended a banquet at Marysville last night. It was a meeting of gas appliance men. James Jenks, who has been visiting his uncle and aunt, Rev. and Mrs. C. R. Howard, left yesterday for Chico to visit relatives. Jenks' home is at Tangent, Oregon. Williams girls' basketball team defeated Oroville at Sutter City last night. Musicians from all parts of the county are expected tomorrow at Williams when the Colusa county band holds its organization meeting. The meeting will be held at Miller's theater at 2 o'clock.
