Suit Filed for $40,000 on Bond VINCENNES, Ind., May 11.-Suit for $40,000 has been filed by Ralph Mossman, receiver for the Vincennes State Bank, against the American Surety Company, bondsmen for Charles S. Nossett, former cashier. It is alleged Claude Gregg, president of the bank, made a demand, following the discovery of the shortage, but the company failed to pay.

MONDAY WAS MOTION DAY CIRCUIT COURT Monday was motion day in the Knox circuit court. The docket shows the following transactions: Henry A. Schmiedeskamp vs. Vincennes State Bank, receiver; the Worthington Bank and Trust Company filed objections to the report of the receiver. Ralph Mossman, receiver for the Vincennes State Bank vs. Charles S. Nossette, et al, plaintiff's demurrer to defendant Nossette's plea in abatement sustained. Defendant ruled to answer by next Monday. James C. Irwin vs. Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railway, damages; defendant's demurrer to complaint overruled. Harrison Bank and Trust Company vs. William R. Ewing, on note; on motion of defendant, cause venued to Daviess county for trial. Geraldine Palmer vs. Perry Andrews, defendant showed filing of motion for change of venue. Anthony Hess vs. Seldon Kellams, et al, on account, cause continued at defendant's costs. Allen A.
