Was President of Bank—Bank Capitalized at $25,000—State Authorities to Take Charge The doors of the State Bank of Idaville were closed at noon last Friday by the board of directors of that bank for liquidation. A slow but steady falling off of deposits was given as the cause of the closing. State banking officials were notified and arrived Saturday to take charge of the affairs of the defunct bank. Officials state that there was no concentrated run on the bank but a gradual shrinkage of deposits, resulting from the deflation of business and lack of confidence. Wilbur Timmons has been president of the bank for the past year assuming that position upon the resignation of his brother, Milton Timmons, because of ill health. Preston Carson was cashier. The bank was organized in 1898 and the last bank statement on December 31, 1931 showed deposits of $109,269.30. The bank had loans of $122,503.71, U. S. Government securities, $700, real estate, $11,124 and cash on hands $12,522.65. The bank was capitalized at $25,000.00. Tuesday a petition was filed in White circuit court by the State of Indiana in relation to Luther B. Symons, state banking commissioner, against the Idaville State Bank asking that a receivership be appointed. J. W. Parrett, a representative of the state banking department, assisted by E. E.
